About Ryan
I am an English specialist dedicated to the art of meaningful education. My focus is bridging the gap between subject mastery and unique personal talents to achieve A* outcomes. My students' journeys begin with comprehensive learning strategies, featuring bespoke resources and literary gifts. Twelve years of international teaching has helped craft my knowledge of the British curriculum being taught overseas, including GCSE, IB, A-Level and IELTS.
As an active writer, bookworm and former editor and journalist, I pride myself on a highly developed command of language. My teaching philosophy is to inspire every student to find a lifelong passion for books through reading for pleasure. I achieve this by being a hardworking practitioner with deep enthusiasm for the spectrum of language and literature. Everything I do is underpinned by empathy and care for student wellbeing.
My résumé includes national editor and freelance journalist for clients including Emirates, Ministry of Sound and The Welsh Government. I was longlisted for The Bridport Prize for a Debut Novel in 2016.
