I believe that every student has a unique way of processing information. My goal as a tutor is to find that "click" moment where complex concepts become clear and manageable.
My Techniques and Methods
I utilize a modular learning approach. We break down large, intimidating topics into bite-sized pieces. I rely heavily on active recall and inquiry-based learning, meaning I don't just lecture—I ask questions that lead you to find the answer yourself, which significantly improves long-term retention.
Structure of a Typical Class
Consistency is key to progress. A standard 60-minute session with me usually follows this flow:
1. The Recap (5-10 mins): We review the previous lesson to ensure the foundation is solid.
2. The Deep Dive (35 mins): We tackle the new concept using visual aids, real-world examples, or practice problems.
3. The Application (10 mins): You take the lead on a task to demonstrate your understanding.
4. Summary & Feedback (5 mins): We identify what went well and what we’ll focus on next time.
