About Shahram
I am a professional Mechanical Engineer with a PhD and extensive experience in engineering, research and computational modeling. My background covers fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, combustion, CFD and ventilation engineering.
I have worked in both academic research and professional engineering environments, giving me a strong combination of theoretical knowledge and practical industry experience. I enjoy helping students understand complex engineering concepts by breaking them down into clear, logical steps and connecting theory to real-world engineering applications.
I work with university students, postgraduate researchers and engineers who want to improve their technical understanding, problem-solving skills or CFD capabilities. My aim is to help students become more confident and independent in solving engineering problems, rather than simply providing them with the answer.

I provide practical, structured tutoring in mechanical engineering, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, CFD and related engineering subjects. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong understanding of the fundamentals before applying them to real engineering problems, simulations and projects.
Lessons are tailored to the student’s level, whether they are an undergraduate student, postgraduate researcher or an engineer looking to strengthen their technical skills. I use clear explanations, worked examples, problem-solving exercises and, where appropriate, CFD software and numerical modelling to connect theory with practical applications.
Lessons typically run for 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs. I have extensive academic and professional engineering experience, including a PhD in combustion modelling, postdoctoral research and professional experience in CFD, thermal-fluid engineering, tunnel ventilation and fire safety engineering. My goal is not simply to provide answers, but to help students develop the confidence and technical skills to solve problems independently.
