About Nathalia
Hello! I'm Nathalia, and I hold a Ph.D. in Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis from Thomas Jefferson University. My research focused on lipid regulation in T cells and pediatric immune dysregulation disorders, giving me both deep technical expertise and a passion for making complex topics understandable. My teaching style is clear, patient, and highly visual. I believe science is easier to learn when it’s broken down into digestible parts and supported by real-world examples and visuals. I adapt to each student’s learning pace and style, and I’m always focused on helping you build lasting understanding, not just quick answers. With a strong academic foundation, real-world research experience, and years of teaching across levels, I bring both expertise and empathy to every session. My goal is to help you feel confident and capable in mastering these complex scientific concepts.

I’m an experienced tutor with a background in biomedical sciences, and I offer support in cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, biotechnology, biochemistry, immunology, and virology for both undergraduate and graduate students. My tutoring style is visual, patient, and adaptable. I believe complex biological concepts become much clearer when students can visualize what’s happening—so I use diagrams, illustrations, and analogies to support learning. I also adjust my teaching to match each student's learning style, pace, and goals. Each session begins with a quick review of your goals and any material you'd like to focus on—class notes, assignments, or upcoming exams. I then break down the content using a step-by-step, visual approach, pausing frequently for questions and discussion. I’ve worked with students at both undergraduate and graduate levels, so I understand how to adapt explanations for different academic backgrounds. Having been a student myself in challenging science programs, I value patience, clarity, and encouragement and I bring that energy into every session. I aim to create a supportive space where students feel confident learning and asking questions.
