About Joy

Hello! My name is Joy, and I am a native Mandarin speaker currently living in the United Kingdom. I hold a PhD degree and have extensive experience studying and working in international environments.

I am passionate about language learning and cross-cultural communication. After completing training in International Chinese Language Education, I began helping learners from different backgrounds improve their Chinese skills.

As someone who has lived abroad for many years, I understand the challenges language learners face and can explain Chinese in a clear and supportive way. My goal is to help students build confidence, enjoy learning Chinese, and make steady progress at their own pace.

I welcome both children and adult learners and look forward to sharing the Chinese language and culture with students from around the world.

About the lesson

I teach both children and adults, including beginners, conversational Chinese learners, and HSK students. My lessons are friendly, interactive and tailored to each student's needs and learning goals.

For young learners, I use pictures, games, stories and engaging activities to make learning enjoyable. For adults, I focus on practical communication, pronunciation, listening and speaking skills, while also helping students build confidence in using Chinese in real-life situations.

Whether you are learning Chinese for travel, work, study or personal interest, I would be happy to support you on your language-learning journey. I look forward to meeting you in class!
