About Gabi

I have a Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, one of the top five Cell Biology Programs in the country. I also hold a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. I have years of tutoring and TA experience at the graduate and undergraduate level. I always maintain a friendly and professional learning environment. More than teaching you Biology, I want to get you curious about nature!

About the lesson

My teaching style can change depending on your needs and goals. If you want to ace your next exam, for example, I can design practice problems for you to prepare based on the material your professor has provided you. If you want to learn how to read scientific literature like a pro, I can teach you my strategies for simplifying the most complicated primary research articles. What sets me apart is no matter your educational level, be it high school, college, masters, or PhD, I've been where you are and even TAed for some of the most difficult Biology classes one can take. I love Biology and helping others learn to love it, too.
