About Kola
I am Omokolade Fatanmi, an ESL teacher. I began teaching in 2010. My teaching expertise covers such areas as ESL teaching, coaching and mentorship, adult literacy instruction, exam preparation, and curriculum design. I am passionate about helping students achieve communicative competence in the English language. I have assisted a lot of students with acquiring a solid understanding of the English language grammar as well as good grades on state and national examinations. My teaching methodology is simple and down-to-earth, taking learners from known to unknown, and giving practical tasks that help internalise lessons for a permanent change in behaviour. Instruction is never worthwhile without evaluation and feedback. Feedback is very important to me as a teacher because it allows me to monitor the academic progress of my class. It is the oil that lubricates the engine of classroom interaction so that my students and I can engage in meaningful communication. Feedback helps me reorganise my teaching so that it can address students' needs and weak areas.

My philosophy of teaching is personalised learning. And to me, it means tailoring the learning experience to meet the unique needs, abilities, and learning styles of each student. I've always implemented this approach in my teaching by creating customised learning pathways, allowing students to work at their own pace, and providing choices in topics and projects that cater to their interests and strengths. I also use data and assessments to inform my instruction and make adjustments to meet individual student needs. Additionally, I offer one-on-one support to students who require extra help or challenges, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed.
