About Homer

Students who feel stuck in the mud often find their footing in my sessions. I address the gaps nobody admits to because that is where the confusion hides. My work covers derivatives, integration techniques, and differential equations basics.

Whether you are bored from being ahead or anxious from falling behind, we can move forward. I was a late starter in academics, which helps me teach other late starters effectively. Seeing the lightbulb flicker on for someone who doubted their own ability is the most enjoyable part of my job.

About the lesson

Pacing is the single most important factor in mastering complex calculus concepts like area and volume or u-substitution. Feedback arrives instantly during our time together so that bad habits never have the chance to solidify.

As a PhD candidate at Boston University, I apply logical rigor to every problem set we tackle. Sometimes it takes an example from outside the textbook to make a rule click into place.
