About Callum
I am an applied mathematician pursing a PhD in Solar Physics. When it comes to teaching I'm not just looking to get you ready for exams, I want you to fully understand the subject you're studying. I have over 6 years' experience tutoring students right the way through to upper divisional university classes in mathematics, physics and engineering. It is that depth of experience I draw on to deliver quality lessons to my tutees.
My philosophy in the classroom is simple: you should feel at home and free to ask questions. The ability to be inquisitive is key to learning any subject, more so than any innate talent, and it is that characteristic that we should look to foster. I want to show that being stuck and finding things difficult is actually a good thing - it means we're learning! There's nothing better than being stuck on a difficult problem before having that 'Eureka!' moment and finally realising the solution.

Teaching is my favourite part of my job! I offer hour-long tutoring sessions in GCSE and A-Level maths and physics, creating a positive environment where student comfort comes first. I have over 6 years experience teaching students all the way from GCSE through to undergraduate level.
