I hold a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from KU Leuven, where my research focused on molecular biology, synthetic biology, and nucleic acid technologies. I currently work as a postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven, developing molecular diagnostics and biosensor technologies for infectious diseases. Before moving into academic research, I worked for four years in industrial biotechnology, first in quality control and later in research and development. I specialized in the development and validation of biological indicators for sterilization monitoring under ISO and GMP standards, contributing to the creation of four FDA-approved medical products. Thanks to this combination of industrial, doctoral, and postdoctoral experience, I can help students connect theoretical concepts with real research and biotechnology applications. My lessons are adapted to each student's level and goals. I aim not only to help solve an immediate problem, but also to develop scientific reasoning, confidence, and independence.
