About Wan Chung Alex

I have an integrated master's degree in pharmacology, with a grade of 2.1. I have always been passionate about teaching maths and have tutored many pupils in the past of all abilities for KS3 and GCSE maths. Because every pupil differs, I tailor my lessons to your strengths and interests. My teaching philosophy is to be patient and understand the student's learning capabilities so that they can maximise the potential of achieving the best grade in maths.

My name is Alex, and I am a recent graduate from the University of Manchester, holding an integrated master's degree in pharmacology. With over two years of math tutoring experience, I have covered everything from KS3 to GCSE levels (12-16 years of age).

My lessons are typically 1 hour, and my focus as a math tutor is on simplifying maths and turning it into something enjoyable. Together, we will dig deep into math concepts, gaining a solid grasp. I will ensure engagement and motivation by tailoring my lessons based on your abilities. Additionally, I collaborate closely with students, addressing their academic challenges and building their confidence. The ultimate aim is to improve grades and provide a comprehensive learning experience that equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their studies.

My main goals as a tutor are to:

1) Equip students with effective exam strategies to help them achieve higher marks

2) Motivate and unlock students' maximal potential

3) Make sure students have a good understanding of the concepts discussed in the lessons
