About Matthew
Chemistry begins with a curiosity about the world around us. Understanding the transformations of mass and energy informs us about the reality of the world around us. I am very excited to begin a PhD program in organic chemistry and eager to gain experience guiding students through something I am so passionate about. I want to eliminate the fear of chemistry courses and provide information and materials that make the concepts very approachable and attainable.

The best way to learn any form of chemistry is practice, practice, practice! After discussing current topics of interest with the student, I will organize a summary lecture to explain the concepts in a conversational way to help the student understand from a different perspective. I will then provide practice materials that best highlight the major idea of the concepts of interest. I use general and organic chemistry concepts daily in my lab and am looking forward to guiding others through this amazing natural science.
