About Eric

Hi, I’m Eric, and I bring over 25 years of real-world engineering experience to every class I teach. As a professional hardware engineer, I’ve worked on projects for organizations like NASA, Ericsson, and Lockheed Martin, and now I’m passionate about sharing that knowledge with new learners—especially those just beginning their journey in 3D design and digital modeling. My classes are welcoming, hands-on, and focused on helping students learn by doing. I use FreeCAD, a powerful and free open-source design tool, to teach essential skills like sketching, modeling, and preparing files for 3D printing. Whether students are curious about engineering, want to build their own inventions, or just love creating, I’m here to guide them every step of the way. I use a project-based learning approach where each lesson leads to a tangible result. Students don’t just watch—they build. I demonstrate each step live using screen sharing, and then pause frequently so students can follow along, ask questions, and even share their work for guidance.

I believe in learning by doing, and my lessons are structured to boost both skill and confidence, especially for beginners who might be intimidated by technical tools.
