About Raphael

I am a professional graphic designer with hands-on industry experience, specializing in creating clean, engaging, and purposeful visual work. Over the years, I have worked on a range of design projects which allows me to bring real-world insight into every lesson I teach.

I take pride in being reliable, patient, and detail-oriented. My goal is not only to help students improve their technical skills but also to build their confidence and creative thinking. I believe good design is about understanding both the tools and the thinking behind them, and I aim to guide students in developing both.

I am committed to maintaining a high standard of professionalism in every session, from clear communication and structured lessons to providing constructive, honest feedback. Students can expect a supportive learning environment where questions are encouraged and progress is consistently guided.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is centred on real-world application and individual growth. As a working graphic designer, I don’t just teach theory. I guide students in developing practical skills they can confidently use in freelance work, employment, or personal projects.

Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to your goals, skill level, and pace. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your portfolio, I structure sessions to be hands-on, engaging, and directly relevant to what you want to achieve.

What makes my teaching unique:
I focus on bridging the gap between design knowledge and real industry expectations.

What that means:
- Learning how to think like a designer, not just use the tools.
- Building a strong eye for layout, typography, and branding
- Understanding client work, briefs, and professional workflows
- Creating portfolio-ready projects you can actually use

I also bring in insights from freelance experience, helping you avoid common mistakes and work more efficiently from the start.

Languages
I teach in English (fluent), ensuring clear communication and easy understanding of both technical and creative concepts.
