I believe learning Mandarin should be both practical and enjoyable. My teaching style focuses on building a strong foundation in vocabulary and grammar, while also encouraging students to apply the language in real-life contexts such as conversations, reading comprehension, and writing exercises. I often use stories, dialogues, and interactive activities to make lessons more engaging.
A typical lesson lasts about 60 minutes, which is enough to cover new content and practice exercises without overwhelming the student.
I have worked as a journalist and scriptwriter, which trained me to use language precisely and creatively. Combined with my experience teaching primary school Mandarin (SJKC syllabus), I can adapt my lessons to different levels and needs, whether it’s helping primary students with their textbooks and homework, preparing secondary students for exams, or guiding adults who want to improve conversational Mandarin.
My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary students, as well as adults who want to strengthen their communication skills or writing ability in Mandarin. Every class is tailored to the student’s pace and learning style, ensuring steady progress and confidence in using the language.
