About Samuel
I am a first-generation American, Spanish was my first language, and I grew up in a family of immigrants who valued education, hard work, and perseverance. My personal journey has shaped my passion for helping students overcome challenges and achieve their goals. I am a California credentialed Special Education teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Special Education. I currently support high school students with diverse learning needs in English, reading, writing, and academic skills. I understand that every student’s path is different, and I strive to create a patient, encouraging, and professional learning environment where students feel supported, confident, and capable of success.

As a California credentialed Special Education teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Special Education, I use differentiated instruction, guided practice, visual supports, and real-world examples to make learning engaging and effective. A typical lesson includes reviewing prior concepts, teaching new material, guided and independent practice, and a final review. My lessons are perfect for middle school, high school, and early college students seeking support in English, reading, writing, study skills, or learning with an IEP or other academic challenges.
