As a tutor, I focus on making reading fun, engaging, and confidence-boosting for kids. My teaching method is rooted in patience, encouragement, and creativity. I use interactive techniques like read-alouds, phonics games, visual storytelling, and comprehension check-ins to help students not only understand what they’re reading—but love it too.
A typical session with me starts with a warm-up (like a short story or vocabulary challenge), followed by targeted reading activities based on the student’s level and needs. We work on fluency, decoding, and understanding themes—all while making space for questions and conversations.
What sets me apart is how much I genuinely care. I build personal connections, and I’m always paying attention to how each child learns best. With experience tutoring siblings, mentoring younger students, and volunteering in my community, I’ve learned how to uplift students with kindness and structure.
