About Thomas
My first teaching position was in my training school over 15 years ago. Since then, I have worked in a range of schools and colleges, ranging from inadequate to outstanding in both London and Manchester. I began teaching because I want to teach, moving to management level will take me out of the classroom and this is not what I want. My parents were both teachers and my wife is a teacher. This may sound horribly boring, yet I feel very comfortable and knowledgeable in this profession and I genuinely enjoy it.

My sessions are focussed on confidence building and mastering first principles before moving onto complex calculations. Targeted questions are an essential teaching tool used to assess understanding and determine which gaps need filling as what's the best direction to move in. As an official marker, I can provide explanations on how each exam board (e.g. Edexcel, AQA) will grade students, so the highest possible grade is achieved. I can proudly claim many people have progressed further in education as a result of my services.
