About Chloe
I am a university graduate, receiving a 1st Class Honours in English Literature. After being a student myself, I am aware that everyone learns differently, and it is important that this is catered to. I have been tutoring for 5 years and have worked with over 40 students, so I have picked up many skills and approaches along the way.
I have experience in National 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher English which I studied myself, so I am still very aware of the current curriculum and can apply this knowledge to a multitude of needs, including creative essays, textual analysis, and close reading exams.
I am currently offering my lessons online via Zoom. I am more than happy to answer any questions or queries regarding online lessons.

All of my lessons take place online, using a combination of Zoom and Google Classroom. I send out a welcome pack to all new students to give you a better idea of what this looks like in practice.
Using Google Classroom means that all of our work is easily accessible and saved to a shared drive. I can post content and materials for you to access at any time, aiding with revision and studying no matter where you are. I use Google Docs to complete lesson work, which allows us both to edit documents at the same time, making our lessons more collaborative! This allows me to give real-time feedback, rather than relaying back and forth. Students can also upload work for feedback, which I happily provide, whether it is work we have completed together, for homework, or in school.
I do not use the same approach with every student, as each individual has different learning needs and abilities. I tailor my lessons to each of my students to ensure they receive the most effective instruction. I use a combination of quizzes, presentation-style lessons with note-taking, practice questions and past papers, and visual aids for key elements of the course.
I also regularly set homework to maintain engagement between lessons and consolidate learning. Every piece of homework receives feedback to pinpoint any areas of improvement that need to be addressed.
