About Xavier
I am Xavier — a native speaker of both Spanish and Catalan, in my early twenties, and currently pursuing a career in technology. My languages were not learned in a classroom; they were lived across several countries and their cultures, which has given me a grounded and practical relationship with both.
Alongside my work in tech, I have always been drawn to reading and to understanding how language actually works — not just the rules, but the rhythm and texture of it. That curiosity is something I bring into every lesson.
I am self-taught in a number of areas, so I know what it feels like to learn without a formal structure and to find your own way through a subject. That experience shapes how I approach teaching — with patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in learning.

Each session follows a structured schedule and we work through a set curriculum — but what we focus on within that is largely up to you. If something clicks quickly, we move on. If something needs more time, we stay with it.
The curriculum covers grammar, writing, and spoken fluency, with room for exam preparation if that is where you are headed. A typical session has a clear goal, but how we get there depends on what you bring to it — questions, doubts, things you have been meaning to understand for a while.
I am a native speaker of both Spanish and Catalan and I read a lot, so alongside the formal side of things I can give you a fairly honest picture of how both languages work in practice.
Over the years, I have picked up a fairly wide sense of how languages stretch and change depending on where you are — the accents, the expressions, the cultural references that no textbook quite captures.
If you have ever felt lost or frustrated learning a language — don't worry, I have been there too… Any and all levels are welcome!
