About Merna

My name is Merna, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration. While my academic path led me into healthcare, my true passion has always been teaching and helping others learn. I have experience working as a tutor and in an after-school care program, where I supported students in their learning and development. I also studied Elementary Education before switching my major in my senior year, which gave me valuable skills in teaching methods, patience, and communication. I am originally from Iraq, and Arabic is my native language. Because I also learned English as a second language at the age of 15, I truly understand the challenges students face when trying to learn a new language. This experience allows me to connect with learners on a personal level and guide them with empathy and encouragement. My goal is to make learning Arabic practical, clear, and confidence-building, so my students not only improve their language skills but also feel comfortable using them in everyday life.
