About Pamela
It is a high honor and my devotion to inspire writing students to engage with an on-going practice of deep reflection, exploring thought through the intricacies and nuances of language and to document your relationship to essential facets through fully expressive writing.
The more we use our minds creatively, the more we learn to trust that part of ourselves, the less fear will make our decisions for us. Facing a blank page (or screen) is like facing the uncertainties of life...what we express to fill that space can be motivated by curiosity and courage, or mistrust and apprehension. It is important to know which parts of ourselves are steering our communication. Once we have that knowledge we become more free to make new discoveries and to cultivate new ways of interacting with self, our relationships and with the natural world surrounding us.
I have been writing, creatively, since I was a teen and have continued throughout my life, writing/producing songs, plays, books and, ultimately, creating arts-based (musical, theatrical and literary) learning tools for my non-profit organization Emotion Literacy Advocates (ELA) that has beneficially served educational purposes, worldwide.
Both sites listed below give examples of my own writing and more details on the ways I’ve applied my writing within the world of lifelong learners. My work (presentations, performances, books, arts-based learning tools) have been integrated into numerous high school, college and university curriculums and broadcast media.
My experience as a teaching multi-disciplinary language artist includes multiple years of artist residencies through Seattle Repertory Theatre Company Outreach & Education programs, University of Washington Writers’ Workshop (teen program), educational and social service conferences in the PNW, Canada and Mexico.

I have a BA liberal arts degree with a concentration in "Psychodynamic Writing for Dramatic Interpretation"...my training has been and continues to be primarily through direct and active experience of writing/producing songs, plays, books and arts-based learning tools through a non-profit organization I founded and for which I am the principal artist. I continue to experience author events for my books, presenting and performing my work, engaging in interviews on the radio and for online publications and I also work with professional actors who perform my work. This continues to give me ways to see how my writing affects all kinds of people and greatly motivates me to continue generating content.

Each process is unique and depends upon the students' needs and interests. If the student is already in the process of writing a piece and wants an active listener &/or specific feedback, that is one of the ways we can begin. If a student is not sure what to write about, I can provide some engaging springboards for initiating their writing process. With every student, we have a general discussion about interests and challenges relative to writing. Even when I work in the schools, I am not required to grade students and that affords the process way more room for exploration and discovery.
I have worked with all ages and quite a lot with teens.
