About Shahzeb

Hi, I’m Shahzeb! I’ve been tutoring since I was 16, and over the last 15 years it’s become one of the most rewarding parts of my life. What started as helping classmates and younger students has grown into something I genuinely love seeing people gain confidence, understand tricky concepts, and realise they are capable of much more than they think. Alongside tutoring, I’ve completed a BSc, MSc, and a medical degree, which means I can bring both strong subject knowledge and real-life applications into my lessons. I’ve taught one-to-one, run group classes, and even managed a tutoring branch, but what I enjoy most is connecting with students and supporting their journey. For me, tutoring isn’t just about exams it’s about mentoring, encouraging curiosity, and helping students feel proud of their progress

About the lesson

I have been tutoring since the age of 16 and now have over 15 years of experience teaching biology and chemistry. My academic background includes a BSc, an MSc, and a medical degree, giving me both strong subject expertise and insight into how science is applied in real life. I have extensive experience teaching in different settings. Alongside years of 1-to-1 tutoring, I have taught small groups of 6–8 students and worked as a manager of a tutoring branch, where I gained valuable skills in organisation, leadership, and curriculum planning. I also developed and ran my own tutoring company, which allowed me to refine my teaching approach and build long-term relationships with students and parents. Lessons are typically one hour, highly interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I use clear explanations, worked examples, and exam-style practice to help students feel confident and prepared. My approach balances academic rigour with encouragement, ensuring students develop both knowledge and confidence. I have worked with a wide range of learners, from GCSE through to A-level and beyond, supporting students aiming for top university places as well as those who need extra guidance to reach their goals. I focus on making lessons engaging, structured, and motivating, with an emphasis on developing skills that last beyond exams.

Perfect! I only had one session with Shahzeb but he made a strong impression. He was incredibly supportive and made the lesson feel comfortable and clear. He took the time to understand what I was hoping to get out of the session and checked in regularly to make sure we were moving in the right direction. His knowledge of Biology stood out, as he was able to take difficult ideas and explain them in a way that made sense and felt relevant to me.

He was patient and encouraging throughout, helping me identify areas to work on without making me feel overwhelmed. The session felt well organised while still being flexible, so I felt confident asking questions.

Overall, Shahzeb was friendly, reliable, and genuinely invested in helping me. I left feeling more confident and will definitely be booking more sessions with him.
