About Zac
As an Oxford Politics and Philosophy graduate who has had to grit their teeth through many uninteresting and seemingly pointless readings for my course, I am fully aware how tedious it is having to sit through boring books and passages and be asked questions on topics you don't care about, and once I left my uni, I resolved never to read another pointless book like this again!
What university did do however, is help develop within me a passion for teaching, and I became a minor celebrity among my fellow students for my ability to take complex ideas and distil them into simple explanations. After graduating, I thus took on a job as a professional tutor at Kip McGrath, teaching both Maths and English at Primary and Secondary level. The moment I started looking back through some of the English reading however, I immediately started having flashbacks to the worst of my metaphysics reading.
Having suffered through plenty of tedious writing it seems insane to me that this is seemingly exactly what we expect our students to do now in Literacy and English classes at primary and secondary school lessons across the country. I don't know about you, but the finer points of Shakespeare, or whether Timmy sat on that hill, did not exactly grip me when I was a student. This is a massive shame though, as often the skills and ideas dealt with by these things are genuinely invaluable at any level, yet you are forced to sit through stuff with no relevance to get there.
These days, modern technology has massively expanded our capacity to create tailor-made work to suit everyone's interests. I have thus combined my passion for teaching with my skills with AI and other tools, so as to create custom-made lessons to suit whatever interest you might have.

I fully recognise that most reading and writing tasks set at school are not very interesting to most students - as such, I promise not to subject you to any of these! Instead, I use my skills as a professional tutor to harness technology to make custom-made exercises based on things you specifically care about. Before we get into things properly, I first want to spend the time chatting and learning about the things that *you* care about, be it football, K-Pop, Marvel or anything else, before then using this to make custom-made activities for you to complete. Furthermore, if there are set readings you do need to complete, I will teach and articulate it to you in ways that are specifically relevant to you, and ensure it is as fun and entertaining as possible.
I teach from Key Stage 2 through to GCSE, and in my day job work as a professional tutor for KipMcGrath. Lessons are online, and are flexible in timing depending on what suits you.
