About Eric

Hi! I'm Eric, a First-Class MChem Chemistry graduate from the University of Oxford, currently pursuing a PhD at University College London (UCL), supported by the prestigious UCL Research Excellence Scholarship.

Having spent several years tutoring chemistry and supporting students with university admissions, I enjoy sharing my passion for science and helping students achieve their academic goals.

My academic background combines chemistry with interdisciplinary scientific research, giving me a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical chemistry. I aim to make challenging concepts approachable, build students' confidence, and inspire a genuine interest in chemistry beyond the classroom.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on building a strong understanding of chemistry rather than simply memorising facts. I tailor my teaching to each student's needs, combining clear explanations, worked examples, and practice questions to develop confidence and problem-solving skills.

With several years of tutoring experience, I offer support for A-Level and Oxbridge admissions preparation.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, but longer sessions can be arranged. Whether you're aiming for top exam grades or hoping to deepen your understanding of chemistry, I'm happy to help you achieve your goals!
