About Yao
Hello! My name is Yao. I’m a native Chinese speaker from China, Although I’ve just started teaching recently on Superprof, I’ve been teaching Chinese to my children & adult students of all levels, cultures for years. I am friendly and patient, students describe me as: WELL-PREPARED, ENTHUSIASTIC, FUN.
I have a passion for travel, transcultural and languages. Having studied in America and travelled in Japan, South Korea, Australia, etc. With plans to explore more, my appreciation and love for communicating with people from all over the world has driven me to learn foreign languages and spend my time teaching others how to speak Chinese. I can’t wait to share this passion with you!

This class is all about YOU! We will structure each lesson to your specific requirements as a learner, with focus on fluid communication and confidence in speaking. I am open to all levels of learners, from absolute beginners to intermediate students.
The +2000 lessons teaching experience also allows me to tailor my teaching style to the usual mistakes of students’ various native languages. The typical lesson will include conversation, with focus targeting certain aspects of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or any other challenging element of Chinese as it becomes relevant.
Real-life materials such as videos and news articles will be used to expand your vocabulary and make learning more engaging.
