About Whit
I am a passionate ESL tutor with 17 years of experience teaching high school and college students. Teaching English is something I truly enjoy because it allows me to support students in building confidence and achieving their goals. Over the years, I have worked with around 150 to 200 students from different backgrounds, which has helped me understand that every learner is unique.
I focus on building a strong foundation in grammar and vocabulary while also improving speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. One of my proudest milestones is seeing students who once struggled with English become confident speakers. Many of my students have improved their academic performance and are now able to communicate effectively in real-life situations.
My teaching style is simple, clear, and interactive. I encourage students to ask questions, practice regularly, and stay motivated. I believe learning should be enjoyable and meaningful. My goal is to help students grow, build confidence, and open new opportunities for their future.

My ESL teaching methodology is centered on making English learning practical, engaging, and meaningful. I use real-life examples and case studies to help students understand how English is used in conversations, work settings, and academic tasks.
Motivation is key, and I create a positive environment where students feel confident to speak, make mistakes, and actively participate. Problem-solving exercises, such as role-plays, discussions, and scenario-based tasks, develop both critical thinking and communication skills.
I maintain integrity by providing honest, constructive feedback and guiding students step by step. Flexibility is important, as I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, level, and learning goals. In addition to ESL, I teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and writing for a complete language learning experience.
