About Gillian

A former 6th and 7th grade English teacher, I love making learning engaging! I enjoy being creative, bringing color and games into learning. I want to get to know you, so I can tailor our exercises to align with your interests and passions!

About the lesson

I keep reading exercises engaging and active. We will start with an assessment to determine your individual needs, then create a customized learning plan to achieve your goals. A typical lesson with me might include... - Phonetic warm up - OG 3 Part Drill - Spelling sounds in the sand - Playing a rhyming game - Building phonics toolbox by learning a new spelling rule - Reading a story filled with words categorized in the skill we are targeting - A story for you to take home and practice reading! As former NYC Teacher and current School Administrator, I have experience working with students in 2nd through 10th grades!
