About Emilie

I am a language trainer and a trilingual translator since 2007. I have lived abroad for about ten years (Spain and Mexico) and speak perfect Spanish (in addition to English). I like discovering new cultures, learning and teaching. I am patient, attentive and very available with my students. I adapt the content of my courses to the specific expectations / needs / goals / difficulties of each student. TRAINING: At first, I followed a literary training (bac L, hypokhâgne then khâgne at Lycée Condorcet in Paris then Bachelor of Modern Literature at the Sorbonne). I then chose a Master with an international dimension related to my taste for languages (Master in European Affairs still at the Sorbonne). At the end of my studies, I went abroad to do an internship and I have lived abroad since. Currently, I teach Spanish (middle school students, high school students, higher education and vocational training). I teach "traditionally" for ten years and online for two years. EXPERIENCE: I teach since 2007. I started teaching FLE in Mexico in the hotel industry (vocational training). Then I taught simultaneously in a high school and a university. I have never stopped teaching since (from kindergarten to training with adults). Currently, I teach mainly college students, high school students, but also adults with travel plans or requiring Spanish as part of their work.

About the lesson

PEDAGOGY / METHODOLOGY: I am patient, attentive and very available with my students. I adapt the content of my courses to the specific expectations / needs / goals / difficulties of each student. I am lucky to have students with very different profiles. My classes are dynamic. I vary the supports and the type of activities so that each course is interesting and to develop the 4 skills used in languages (comprehension / expression-written / oral). I take a lot of time during the first course (free assessment) to identify the profile of each student and adapt the courses / methodology. I suggest a lot of exercises to reinforce what was seen during the course. I sometimes use the method of the inverted class but in reality, I do not think that there is an "ideal" method and I think rather that it is advisable to alternate the methods or to choose the one that is most suitable to each student. For example, some of my students are creative and like open-ended questions or dynamic ones that appeal to the imagination. Others need much more "square" and structured courses. So I adapt to get the best results possible. COURSES PROPOSES General courses all levels. Help with homework. Course of grammar, phonetics. Translation help. Preparation before a control / examination. Conversation. Preparation before a job interview. Preparation before a trip abroad (personal or professional). TO KNOW: The 1st lesson with me is free! It allows you to meet, to get acquainted with the online courses, to take stock of your level and to set the objectives to reach. Thanks to my work, my schedules are very flexible and I can adapt to your schedule. I can for example help you at the last moment the day before a control! If you wish, I will give you exercises to do between classes to continue to progress on your side and I will give you reading tips, movies, music, etc ... When I will be your particular teacher, you can contact me outside of class and I will help you as much as possible!
