About Federico
I am a drummer with studies at Los Angeles College of Music, University in California, United States where I was awarded the "Outstanding Drum Performance" scholarship. I have experience playing tours in the United States, Japan and Europe, in addition to 5 years of experience teaching both piano and drums. Additionally, I have taken private lessons with renowned drummers such as: - Thomas Lang (Paul Gilbert) - Dave Elitch (Miley Cyrus, The Mars Volta) - Joe Porcaro - Steve Pemberton (My private teacher at LACM) - Dave Bayer (Christopher Cross) - Ralph Humphrey (Frank Zappa) - Russ Miller (Nelly Furtado) - Mark Walker (Berklee College of Music) - Alex Gómez (Alejandra Guzmán, Emmanuel, Mijares. Río Roma) Likewise, I am a pianist graduated from the National Conservatory of Music, I did the infant period (3 years) and I finished the technical-professional cycle (5 years). Additionally, I studied Sociology at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of UNAM.

My classes are based on seeking to achieve the objectives that the student sets for himself in the short, medium and long term. I consider music theory to be a fundamental basis to function within an instrument, so rhythmic reading is something that I use with both beginning and advanced students. Depending on the level of the student, I assign different technique exercises for both hands and feet. During the classes, topics such as technique, improvisation, transcription, rudiments, use of metronome and sequences, double pedal, behavior on stage, attack, speed, coordination, recording; as well as my experience in auditions for universities / bands and tours. My classes, both piano and drums, not only aim at the development of the student with his instrument, but the development of the sensorial-emotional relationship with music, a quality that can be exported to different aspects of daily life.
