About Patrick

I have been teaching for over ten years, with experience in both mainstream and SEN schools, and I’ve also had the privilege of being part of the Senior Leadership Team. As a teacher, I’m known for being fun, energetic, and passionate about creating a positive and happy environment where children can thrive. I believe in making learning enjoyable by connecting lessons to students’ interests, while always ensuring alignment with the National Curriculum to guarantee progress. My background as both a Science Lead and Behaviour Lead has given me excellent people skills, and I’m adept at adapting my approach to meet the needs of each individual. Whether you need structured academic support or a confidence boost in your learning, I’m here to help you succeed and reach your full potential in a way that feels exciting and engaging!

About the lesson

With over a decade of experience as a class teacher and member of the Senior Leadership Team in both mainstream and Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools, I am passionate about helping children develop a deep understanding and love for mathematics. I specialise in working with students from KS1 to KS2, focusing on building fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills, which I believe are essential for mastering maths. My hour-long lessons are highly interactive and structured, incorporating guided practice, skill development, and targeted practice to ensure every student engages actively while building confidence and competence. I will also ensure that follow-up activities are sent following on from each activity. I provide tailored support to help each child grasp key concepts, breaking down strategies so they can apply them independently. What sets me apart is my ability to make learning fun and engaging, fostering an environment where students can thrive. With my experience as part of the Senior Leadership Team, I understand the importance of flexibility in teaching and adapt my lessons to ensure all students, regardless of their starting point, can succeed. My dedication and passion for teaching drive me to help every child reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive manner.
