About Ellie

My name is Ellie. I love learning new languages and want to help others trying to learn as well. I speak four languages and counting. I have taught other subjects to over 700 students. In my lessons, we focus on what interests each individual student and utilize that to improve their understanding of Spanish.

About the lesson

Learning a second language is equally as challenging as it rewarding! I employ real-life scenarios to emphasize the importance of bilingualism and to engage students in a fun way. In lessons, I focus on using Spanish as much as possible, as opposed to a lecture. Based on studies examining second language acquisition, the most effective strategy is full-immersion, which I apply strategically so as not to overwhelm the student while also giving them a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, I use games and puzzles to make learning fun! I am happy to tutor any students learning Spanish.
