About Rochelle
I became a tutor not because I was always confident in the subject matter, but because I understand how challenging certain classes can be. I’ve been in the same position as many of the students I now help—struggling, frustrated, and unsure of how to move forward. It was during those times that I relied on tutoring services, and they played a vital role in helping me succeed academically. Without the support and guidance I received, I wouldn't have come as far as I have in my educational journey. That experience instilled in me a deep appreciation for the value of tutoring and inspired me to give back. As a tutor, I strive to meet students where they are. I’m understanding of different learning styles and paces, and I work hard to help each student not only grasp the material but also build the skills for independent learning. My goal is to empower students with the tools and confidence they need to succeed on their own.

My teaching approach focuses on breaking down problems step by step to ensure full understanding before bringing everything together. I believe it's important to go beyond solving just the problem at hand—I aim to build a comprehensive understanding of the overall lesson. My goal is to equip students with the knowledge and strategies they need to approach similar problems on their own in the future. I also encourage active learning by guiding students to answer questions independently and take detailed notes during our sessions. These notes become valuable tools they can refer back to during their individual study time when I’m not there. By promoting independent thinking and solid study habits, I help students build confidence and long-term academic success.
