About Athena
Hi, I'm Athena, a bilingual NTU undergraduate with a unique bicultural background. Having spent 15 years in China and 4 years in Singapore's MOE system, I have a deep appreciation for the Chinese language and a clear understanding of local students' needs. As a former Vice President of the CLEP committee, I want to teach because I am passionate about sharing the beauty of Chinese literature. My goal is to transform Mandarin from a stressful exam subject into something engaging, helping students build genuine confidence and find joy in learning!

Hello! I am Athena, a bicultural bilingual tutor currently studying at NTU. Having recently navigated the MOE syllabus with top results—including an A1 in Higher Chinese for O-Levels, an 'A' grade in H2 Chinese & Literature, and being a former MOE CLEP Scholar—I know exactly how to guide students to achieve distinctions. My Methodology:
My approach is highly personalized and exam-oriented. Drawing from my 15 years of education in China and my creative background as a National Chinese Short Film Champion, I strive to make complex vocabulary and literature texts engaging rather than intimidating. I do not believe in blind memorization. Instead, our classes will focus heavily on breaking down MOE grading rubrics, mastering logical essay structures, and applying practical exam strategies. Lesson Format:• Target Audience: Specifically tailored for Secondary (O-Level Higher/Express Chinese) and Junior College (A-Level H1/H2 Chinese & Literature) students. • Typical Length: 1.5 to 2 hours per session. This duration provides the optimal balance for concept mastery, active discussion, and timed writing practice. Whether you need to build a stronger language foundation or make a final sprint for top grades, I am fully committed to helping you succeed!
