About Kevin

I attended the University at Buffalo, earning a Bachelor's in Mathematics in just three years and a Master's in Education in one. I graduated Magna Cum Laude (with great distinction). Since then I've taught everything under the sun — even developing my own Intro to Computer Science course. I have also recently completed the New York State Master Teacher Program, when I spent 50 hours per year studying emerging trends, applications, and best practices in math, science, tech, and education on topics such as — Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Physical and Mental Health & The Gut Microbiome, Criterion-based Assessment & Mastery Grading, Black Holes & Dark Energy, Building Thinking Classrooms, The Mathematics of Gerrymandering, Graph Theory & Logistics, Genomics, Evolution & DNA. Whatever you're interested in, I can find a way to connect it to what you're learning!

About the lesson

I have never sat down with a student who really wanted to learn something and failed to find a way for them to understand it. When there's a will, there's a way. I have been teaching math for 14 years and have developed and researched countless methods and strategies for helping students master challenging material. In my experience, the key is to get to know each student, figure where they're at, and build on that to bring them up to the next level. Let's get started!
