About Videep

I'm a neuroscience researcher with a passion for teaching, and I scored a 518 on the MCAT, placing me in the top 4% of test takers.

I earned a B.S. (Honors) in Physiology & Neurobiology and Molecular & Cell Biology, followed by an M.S. in Physiology & Neurobiology, both from the University of Connecticut. Today, I'm a research assistant at Tufts University School of Medicine, where I study how tuberculosis affects the brain.

Teaching has been part of my life since high school, when I tutored classmates in science. Since then, I've led Anatomy & Physiology class and lab sections as a graduate teaching assistant at UConn and twice served as a teaching assistant at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, instructing 30 PhD and postdoctoral researchers. Working with learners at every level has taught me that no single method works for everyone, so I adapt my teaching to you. I've also worked in hospitals as an emergency department scribe and patient care associate, so I understand the path to medicine firsthand.

I love helping students go from confused to confident. Whether you're tackling your first biology class or preparing for the MCAT, I'm excited to help you reach your goals.

About the lesson

My lessons are friendly, conversational, and patient, and no question is ever too basic. When a concept isn't clicking, I break it into smaller questions you can answer one at a time, then connect them back to the big picture. I use analogies to make abstract ideas familiar, and instead of lecturing, I guide you to reason through problems yourself so you build skills that hold up on exam day.

Our first session focuses on your goals, timeline, learning style, and any past scores or grades, so I can build a plan around you. After that, each lesson starts by reviewing your practice from last time and any questions you have. We then work through the session's main topic together, followed by practice problems or passages you solve with my feedback.

Who my lessons are for: I teach high school students, including AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics; college students in biology, biochemistry, general chemistry, physics, and anatomy & physiology; and pre-med students preparing for the MCAT.
