About Jasmine
I recently finished my masters in research (MRes) in Neuroscience from University of Leeds, United Kingdom.
I did my bachelors in Neurosciences as well from Amity University, Noida, India and graduated in 2022.
Although, English is not my first language, it is still my comfort language. I speak two more languages but when it comes to speaking confidently on a daily basis with anyone, I usually turn to and rely on English.
I have seen many people around me in my life where they hesitate, get demotivated, and criticised for not being able to speak English well, which may not even be their first language. I would like to create an environment where the students feel supported and valued and can learn freely at their own pace without feeling inferior about their skills and level.

With me, studying will be fun. We're going to learn and practice English with loads of written, visual, or verbal activities. To make it more fun, we can plan short activities outside in the city (if you opt for face to face) as per convenience. My aim will be to listen to the student and suggest corrections frequently. For example, the student can try to say a sentence and I can give feedbacks as and when required.
Typical length of my class can be 50 mins or 1 hour.
I was a part of an NGO back in India where I taught the underprivileged kids associated with the NGO quite often. I taught them basic communication skills like introducing yourself, grammar, counting, days and months, etc. This experience sparked my interest in teaching.
Unofficially, I keep teaching English to my friend and mother whose first languages aren't English and I believe this platform will be a perfect opportunity for me to provide a friendly and comfortable space for anyone to learn or to start speaking English confidently.
My lessons aim for any age groups but for people who have just started learning the language and need further guidance or for people who want to practice speaking English and thereby, boost their confidence in communicating easily with local/native English speakers.
