About Manuella
I am a UofT graduate plus leader at a Toronto-based NGO and have completed a major in neuroscience and a double minor in physiology and African Studies. I am currently on track to attain a Master’s of Health Science (and potentially, an MD-MBA or PhD). I have been an honors student all throughout high school plus undergrad at University and achieved the headmaster's academic excellence award twice in a row for my last two years before graduating. As well, I am on the Dean's honor list at the University of Toronto and have been on that list every year during my undergraduate studies. During my spare time at university, I tutored my peers and provided extra help for those who need it. I also tutored my peers in high school. Tutoring is something that I have constantly done throughout my academic career as I enjoy helping others achieve the academic excellence I have maintained throughout the years.

My goal for each student I teach involves understanding how the student learns best, according to various teaching styles. I understand that not all students learn the same way and as a result, will mould my teaching style to fit the students to ensure effective learning. I like to make sure that students do not only master the topic but can also communicate and prove that they have knowledge on the topic. I will try my best to structure every single class with a plan to ensure effective time management. At the end of every class, I want to make sure the student is more comfortable with the topic. If time allows, I like to provide surprise quizzes to check on the student's progress.
