About Neve

I’m a professionally trained native Spanish-speaker with extensive and international experience, I have taught Modern Foreign Languages since 1997 in South and North America, France, Spain and since 2014, here in the UK.
Between 1997 and 2013 I have primarily provided corporate training in multinational companies and charitable organisations; from 2015 till 2021 I worked at an independent GDST school coaching students for their GCSE/A-Level Exams; and all along this time I've taught individuals on a private basis.
Over the years teaching, and also learning other languages, I have developed techniques that assure a gratifying and effective learning process. With my guidance, you’ll feel proud of your achievements and will get to love the language you chose to learn and appreciate its culture.

About the lesson

As a certified teacher with a thorough understanding of linguistics and teaching methods, I balance communicative and whole-brain approaches that make learning more effective. I tailor my programmes to the needs and goals of the client, using vocabulary building activities/lectures, and cultural/specific topics and experiences. These allows the students to find inner motivation and deeper engagement organically. My General Spanish programme consists of 9-12 Units per level, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and covers a Level per year (on a 1 weekly class-basis).
In addition to the course material, I facilitate links to my account on Quizlet, a learning platform, where I produce support drilling exercises that students and clients can use at their own pace and on-demand for further practice. Altogether, this ensures that students succeed in their learning goals at each stage.

NOTE! - The first free 30-45 minute session is always held online or by a phone call, and its purpose is to assess the student level, goals and challenges.

- Face-to-face lessons, which require commute, are a minimum length of 1:30 hrs, the fee of £57/hr includes the commute time extra charge
