As a K-12 teacher, I’m experienced in creating tailored and logically sequenced curriculum that produces results and builds confidence as we go. My style of teaching incorporates a variety of media and modalities into my lessons to make language learning as authentic and interactive as possible. From pre-school age to adult, every learner comes with a unique learning style, individual interests, and strengths, which I take the time to understand and leverage as an asset to their learning.
Units are tailored to my clients’ needs and interests. However, possible units include:
-Spanish Essentials
-Questions, greetings, and etiquette
-Public Places and transpiration
-Home, Family, and Food
-Interests, traits, and hobbies
-Body and emotions
-Academic and professional vocabulary
A student of mine can expect a mixture of vocabulary building (based on the unit’s theme), conversation and pronunciation practice, a grammar lesson, and a listening activity. I also infuse a cultural element throughout the lesson. Lessons for children will often include age-appropriate song, game, and story time.
