About Mariana

Hello and welcome!

My name is Mariana and I live in the Gold Coast. I was born in Argentina, but have lived internationally most of my life. I have been tutoring since I was an undergraduate, and absolutely love it! In my free time I like to spend time in nature and trying new food spots!

I have a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Criminology. I have lots of experience in academia and in research, which surprisingly I really enjoy. I also completed the International Baccalaureate (IB), receiving a bilingual diploma - I am very familiar with the curriculum and the struggles of an IB student!

My professional experience is in the Mental Health and Disability sector - I am super passionate about supporting individuals with developmental, physical and behavioural needs to maximise quality of life.

As a tutor, I have worked with people from all different walks of life in mostly Spanish, Psychology, Behavioural Science, Individual Support and English. My approach is super flexible to your needs and ways of learning - we are all different and have different strengths, which is amazing!

Let me teach you Spanish!

It can be hard learning another language, but that doesn't mean it has to be boring! I can support you at all levels, and we will have fun learning. I will teach you not only the language, but also aspects of all the different cultures and traditions from Spanish speaking countries.

Whether it is for fun, for school or for business, let's boost your confidence and skills to effectively communicate in Spanish!

In terms of my approach, I have a person-centred focus; I will adapt the lesson structure and content to whatever works best for you. I aim to shape the lessons to the student's needs and method of learning. I identify areas of development and work towards refining them, while always keeping a positive and friendly environment!
