I’m a current student in New Zealand, majoring in early childhood education. I have experience in tutoring Mandarin for students at different levels. As a native speaker of Chinese, I know how elusive yet interesting this language can be. However, as long as you adopt the effective methods, it is actually not that difficult as you have expected.

My philosophy is that students can learn best in real-life scenarios when it comes to languages. My lessons aim at helping students become familiar with the most native and frequently used phrases through role-playing the conversations that Chinese people have in their daily life. Meanwhile, I will offer them various situations and contexts in which they can use the targeted words/phrases, so that they will have more opportunities to practice the words and know how to use them correctly. Feedbacks and assignments for improvement will be offered at the end of the course, and reviews will be invited at the beginning of next class.
