About Anna

I am a pharmacist and I also have a master’s degree in Nutrition. I like languages very much, so I decided to study Translation also. I am very happy when I meet people from other countries and when I can speak other languages. My mother languages are Spanish and Catalan, so if you are planning on coming to Barcelona, I may help you to learn some basic words and sentences also. If you need someone to help you here in Spain, I will be glad to help you. I have already taught Spanish in the United States, France and Belgium, where I lived for many years. I spent a year in the United States as an exchange student, when I was very young, and I understand the difficulties that a student may find when learning a new language. It is like a puzzle, the more you know, the better the different pieces fit together and you get to the objective. I am currently improving my teaching skills through a teaching course from the European University Miguel de Cervantes and ELEInternacional; I am getting some training to become a Neurolanguage coach and I am doing an Orthotypography course. Additional information about me: I have worked in different pharmacies in France, Belgium and Spain. In addition I have two master's degrees in Translation specializing in Medicine.

About the lesson

Hello! How are you? My name is Anna. I am from Barcelona. Do you know this beautiful city? I can also teach you Catalan. My methodology includes a lot of conversation, some grammar and writing and I will give you some homework for the next class. In our first class, we will get to know each other, I will give you a short and simple test to assess your level. We will discuss this, along with your particular needs, goals and preferences. I have a lot of resources and materials to share with you and make this learning experience something motivating and fun. I can personalize each class to your requirements. If we work together and you are motivated, I am sure you will be really happy with your progress. I think that making mistakes is not a problem as long as your teacher makes you aware that you've made a mistake. A mistake is always a good thing as long as you can learn something from it. And I promise you will!! A lot!! What is important is not to be ashamed and talk, talk and talk!!! I promise I will do my best to help you to learn or improve your Spanish. I LOVE teaching. I will be happy to meet you if you want to take a trial class. So… ¡vamos allá!
