About Javier

Hi! I'm Javier, a native Spanish speaker and Biology graduate and Master's student. I've always lived in Spain, spent a year in the UK, and am now settling into life in the Netherlands. Over the past year I've taught Spanish to a wide range of international adult students mostly in person, and now also online, including English, Americans, Polish and French learners, each with their own goals: exams, work, travel, or simply the pleasure of learning a new language.
Having lived and learned in different countries myself, I know firsthand what it's like to pick up a new language as an adult (that's exactly what I'm doing myself with Dutch right now).

That experience shapes how I teach: patiently, practically, and focused on real communication rather than rigid grammar drills. I'm also a trained musician (10+ years, conservatory level), and I like bringing that creativity into lessons like techniques for pronunciation and listening. I'm reliable, easygoing, and genuinely enjoy helping people build confidence in a new language. I also have experience teaching children, if that's what you're looking for instead.
Whatever you need, I'd be happy to help :)

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to your goals, level, and learning style. I combine grammar, vocabulary, and, above all, conversation, because the best way to build fluency is by speaking, making mistakes, and getting feedback along the way. Most importantly, we'll focus on what matters to you. I'm flexible and happy to adapt each lesson to your interests, needs, and pace.

**For adults and professionals:** Practical conversation, pronunciation practice, grammar feedback, and personalized support to help you prepare for exams, communicate at work, travel, or feel more confident speaking Spanish in everyday situations.

**For beginners:** A relaxed and structured introduction to Spanish, with clear explanations, plenty of practice, and no pressure.

**My teaching approach:** I aim to create a friendly, supportive environment where making mistakes is a natural part of learning. With over a year of experience teaching students from different countries and backgrounds, I've learned how to adapt my lessons to different learning styles, levels, and goals.

If you're looking for a patient, reliable tutor who genuinely enjoys teaching languages and helping others improve, I'd love to hear from you!

Let's work together to help you feel more confident speaking Spanish!
