About Angela
Since I was a child, I always knew I wanted to become a teacher. I loved helping my younger siblings with their homework and explaining things in creative ways. But it wasn’t until my third year of university, when I studied abroad in Portugal, that I truly discovered my passion: learning about new cultures and languages, and realizing how powerful they are in connecting people. That experience awakened my curiosity and my desire to explore new horizons. After graduating, I moved to the United States, where I started working as an au pair while volunteering at a Spanish immersion school. Working with children helped me grow as an educator, and it confirmed that teaching was something I not only enjoyed but was truly good at. During that time, I also met my partner, who didn’t speak a word of Spanish! Teaching him became one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It made me realize how much I love teaching my language and how much I learn through the process. Step by step, he began understanding and speaking Spanish, and today he speaks it very well, something that fills me with pride. After that, I started teaching other adults too, helping them reach their goals in a fun, practical, and motivating way. Every new student confirmed what I already felt: my future is in teaching Spanish. Now, with over three years of experience teaching students of all ages, I can say that this is what I’m meant to do. My lessons focus on developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through real-life contexts adapted to each student’s level and goals. Teaching Spanish allows me to share my culture, connect with people, and do what I love every single day.

¡Hola! I’m Ángela, a native Spanish teacher from Spain with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s in Bilingual Education. I’ve been living in the United States for over two years, where I discovered my true passion for helping others learn my language. I have over three years of teaching experience with students of all ages. I’ve worked as a teacher in a bilingual immersion school, gaining valuable experience with children, and I’ve also taught adults who wanted to improve their Spanish for travel, work, or personal growth. My teaching method focuses on developing the four main skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, through real-life, practical contexts. I always adapt my lessons to each student’s level, goals, and interests, ensuring that learning Spanish feels relevant, engaging, and rewarding. I’m enthusiastic, patient, and creative, and I love seeing my students gain confidence and enjoy every step of the journey.
