About Anna

I am new in this platform, but I have been teaching Spanish a whole life! Currently located in Barcelona, Spain. I’m a Spanish native teacher truly passionate about teaching my language, and one of the things I love most is seeing the real impact it has on my students' lives. Whether it’s children finally being able to speak with their parents in their native language, students who overcome academic challenges and pass their exams, professionals who gain the confidence to give presentations in Spanish at work, or people who move to Spain and start forming genuine local friendships. I also deeply enjoy learning about my students’ cultures and sharing mine in return. My grandmother used to say that the meals she cooked on Sundays were like our culture: we would enjoy them together, and once we knew the recipe, we could make them ourselves. For me, teaching Spanish is very much the same. It's about sharing something that holds great meaning for me with others who are just beginning to discover it and be a part of this new World.

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Anna, and I’m a Spanish teacher with over 12 years of experience. I teach all levels, from A1 to C2, and although I’m based in Barcelona, I work exclusively online. I use a wide range of specialized tools and activities designed specifically for online learning; perfect for those who are preparing to move to a Spanish-speaking country and want to get a head start on their new life. I hold a degree in Spanish Studies, CAP (teaching certificate for secondary education in Spain), a Master degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE), a professional editing course, and a specialization in teaching Spanish through the communicative approach. For the past five years, I’ve also been helping IB students improve their grades throughout the academic year, consistently achieving excellent results. Additionally, I prepare students for the GCSE/IGCSE exams and help candidates succeed in the DELE exam. I'm a certified DELE examiner and teacher.
