About Clara

¡Hola! I'm a native Spanish speaker from Galicia, in the northwest of Spain, and I've been living in the UK since 2019. I have a background in acting and theatre, having trained professionally for five years in Madrid, and I've always been passionate about creativity, communication and connecting with people.

Over the years, I've worked as an actress, drama teacher, workshop facilitator and children's entertainer, gaining plenty of experience adapting my approach to different ages, personalities and abilities. I'm also a bit of a phonetics geek! I find the way we produce sounds, shape words and use rhythm and intonation absolutely fascinating, and I love helping people discover the little tricks that make their Spanish pronunciation sound more natural.

I'm a curious, energetic and creative person who loves art, music, theatre and discovering new ways of learning and expressing ourselves. Having moved to a different country myself, I understand both the challenges and the excitement of communicating in another language, and I'd love to help others discover the joy of speaking Spanish!

About the lesson

I believe that learning a language should be fun, engaging and, above all, practical! My teaching style is highly interactive, with a focus on real-life conversations, everyday expressions and the little turns of phrase that native Spanish speakers actually use, rather than just sticking to textbooks.

With my background in theatre and creative teaching, I love bringing language to life through games, role-play, storytelling and activities that encourage students to speak naturally and confidently. I also believe that no two students learn in the same way, which is why I tailor my lessons to each individual's interests, goals and learning style.

Whether you're passionate about music, films, sports, travelling or anything else, I'll find ways to incorporate those interests into our lessons, keeping you motivated, curious and excited to learn. My aim is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where making mistakes is part of the fun and learning Spanish feels like an adventure rather than a chore!
