About Ernesto

I am a native Spanish speaker, a husband, a father of three, and a Systems IT professional currently working at a well-known local hospital in Utah. I moved to the beautiful state of Utah two years ago with my family, and I have loved connecting with the local community ever since.

Because I believe in continuous growth, I am currently taking classes to perfect my English at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC). This firsthand experience as a language learner gives me a deep empathy and unique patience for my own students. I know exactly what it takes to learn a second language, the common challenges you face, and how to overcome them with confidence.

Teaching Spanish allows me to share my native culture and language while utilizing my natural problem-solving and structured approach from my IT background. I pride myself on being punctual, organized, highly encouraging, and deeply committed to helping my neighbors and their children achieve their educational goals.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to be practical, structured, and completely tailored to your personal goals. As a 50-year-old Systems IT professional working at a local hospital and a father of three, I understand the value of organization, patience, and clear communication when teaching a new skill.

Who are my lessons for?
- School & DLI Students: Step-by-step guidance to master grammar, expand vocabulary, and successfully complete school or Dual Language Immersion homework.
- Adults & Professionals: Real-world conversational practice focusing on pronunciation, listening skills, and building the confidence to speak Spanish fluently at work or while traveling.

My Methodology:
Every student learns differently, so I adapt my pace to you. We start by identifying your current level and goals, then build a custom roadmap. I blend essential grammar structures with engaging conversation, interactive exercises, and everyday cultural context to keep the material practical and rewarding.

I provide a highly encouraging, stress-free learning environment where making mistakes is just part of the progress. Lessons are available online or locally in-person on weekday afternoons starting at 4:30 PM, as well as on weekends.
