About Raquel

I am an engineer and scientist, born in Venezuela, native spanish speaker and fluent english speaker. I have taught science subjects at tertiary institutions for many years, including at the ANU. I currently work in industry and also have an academic adjunct position at the University of Southern Queensland.

About the lesson

I believe that students learn in different ways, and to maximize their learning one needs to take into account their unique needs and learning styles. A sizable fraction of my students have come from so called non-traditional pathways, including mature/retirement-age students, fully employed
professionals, and undergrads from a wide range of backgrounds. I firmly believe that with tailored, appropriate support they can all be successful!
