About Denisse

I am Peruvian-American, and graduated as a primary school educator in Argentina before moving back to Washington, DC to continue my studies and work as a bilingual teacher at a dual language school. My teaching experience has been both at schools in the classroom and through private tutoring for different ages and subjects. I have been lucky enough to work with a diversity of learners that has allowed me to build a strong foundation in developing individualized learning plans. Personally, I enjoy the outdoors, playing sports (especially soccer or swimming), and eating Peruvian cuisine whenever possible!

About the lesson

With almost 10 years in education, I am dedicated to approaching each session with a clear objective and creating engaging lessons based on the needs and interests of the student. I see my students succeed the most when they are able to make personal connections to the content and can actively use what they learn. I also firmly believe any class can include a game to reinforce the lesson while also enjoying the learning! Depending on the material, lessons can span between 30-50 minutes.
